Hiiii!!! I woke up at 9am today. Early right? I slept at 9 last night. HAHAHAHA.
Went to a book fair at UWC today. I knowww... Wtf? Book fair? Sarah!!! You are really a traitor. (I hate books, they are like my enemies.)
So like, no la i just went there cos my mom wanted to go and confirm will have cute guys.
UNFORTUNATELY. there were no cute guys. only alot of hot girls (zzzzzzzz)
Hahaha. Ok no, the real reason is cos i've been wanting to start reading. Because theres this saying that "You are what you read" and I read like... Nothing. So...
Anyway. The books were like all $1 each. And all the proceeds go to charity. So what better way to start reading than by buying random books at a buck AND helping poor people at the same time right?
I bought a grand total of 11 books, probably the amount of books i've read in my whole life. I tried to not buy all the chick lit books. So i picked those that sounded and looked very sophisticated. Of course the bimbo inside me could not be ignored and i had to look at every book that was of a brighter colour and with nice fonts. I had no idea what the fuck i was looking for since i dont read books. So i spent the first 20 minutes there wondering wtf i was doing at a Book Sale. Anyway, let me list down the books for you guys and if you've read it before and it's shit pls tell me so i dont waste my time. HAHAHA
I also realised that all the books damn fake because all of them have like "Best seller" or "Number 1 in the world" on them. wtf? wtf. i found two books that were in oprah's book club. thats the only one i trust. I think im going to get all the books in oprahs book club. because oprah is the best shit around.
1. Nora Roberts- High Noon (international bestseller sia)
2. Elizabeth Gilbert- Eat Pray Love (oprah's book club)
3. Cecelia Ahern- Thanks for the memories (bestselling author of ps, i love u) (this book is pink and orange and yellow so i had to get it. its damn chio)
4. Candace Bushnell -One fifth avenue (bestselling author of sex and the city and lipstick jungle) (i love those two shows) (the book damn chio also)
5. Patricia Cornwell- the last precinct (my bro said he has this book so i think shld be damn good)
6. Josh Grisham- A painted house (this book looks damn sophisticated so i bought it)
7. Mark Gimenez- The Abduction (author of the sunday times bestseller)
8. William P. Young- The Shack (no. 1 new york times best seller)
9. Tony Parsons- Man and boy (book of the year) (heard this book damn good)
10. Lalita Tademy- Cane River (looks damn sophisticated also. Oprah's book club)
11. Tim Winton- Dirt Music (number 1 bestseller) (the lady selling it recommended to me and said its a damnnn good book)
So yeah. I don't know where/when to start. HAHAHAHAHA.
